For the homebound and hospitalized, the priests, deacons, and/or Eucharistic ministers can visit the sick and bring Holy Communion to shut-ins. Please let us know if you are hospitalized or unable to come to church.
CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD (CLOW) does not change our Sunday liturgy. The procession, Opening Rite, and penitential rite all take place as they do for any other Mass. As we prepare for the Liturgy of the Word, the younger children (aged 4 - 9 or up to 4th grade) are invited to hear God's Word in language that is easier for them to understand. The CLOW readings take place in the chapel in the Parish Center. The children will listen to the same readings, but they are written and presented in language that will be more easily understood. In place of the traditional homily, an adult volunteer will share a reflection on the readings. The children will be led in song by Sara Hedgepeth, director of the Holy Trinity Contemporary Ensemble and volunteer Song Leaders. They will say the creed together and immediately after the Prayer of the Faithful (intentions), the children will return to their seats with their parents. CLOW takes place at the 9:00 AM Mass - dates for 2014 are:
January 26, February 9, March 2, and March 23.
Family Mass is celebrated 1-2 times per month at the 9:00 AM Mass from September to May. The Contemporary Ensemble provides the music and homilies are geared to families and children. Family Masses for 2013-2014 are October 27, November 17, December 15, Christmas Eve at 4 PM, January 19, February 2 and 23, March 9 and 30, April 6, all of the First Eucharist Masses (April 27, May 4,11 and 18 at 9am and 12 Noon) and June 15.
We thank all of our CLOW leaders and leaders who assisted during the past year. If you are interested in volunteering this year as a reader or CLOW leader or Song leader, please contact the Faith Formation Office, email@example.com.
